Space X: Boring Phone

Role: Concept Art, Industrial design, 3D Design & Modelling, Visual Design, Motion Design, Editing, Sound Design, Everything.

Imagine a phone that is out of this world…literally. This was a concept for Space X and The Boring Company.

Camera Design:

In order to create this shot, I had to study the mechanics of a camera lens, being a photographer helps, I used my photo gear for reference.

Other colors were also experimented with, however dark colors were the way to go.

For the water drop shot, I couldn’t find a proper object falling in the water sound effect. Solution: I filled an empty 7Up bottle, put some water in a bucket and drop that in it. The perfect sound effect and a mess in my apartment : )

Paint peeling due to change in gravity.

Various tests were made to create the perfect flame thrower fire.

Testing the tearing of carbon fiber from the phone chasis.

The body of the phone was inspired by Skynet T-1000 exoskeleton

Headphones:

White version were created but the contrast did not work well with the full black color profile. All black made more sense visually.

The Motherboard: The PCB board is modelled after a gaming PC with GPU, CPU and an upgradeable ram.

CPU Design:

The CPU and socket designs are based on AMD Ryzen series.
